1. Download and sign up. Open OutdoorBase, create an account or continue with your email or social login. Allow location permissions and download offline maps for your region. 2. Plan your route. Search for a trail or draw your own route, review distance and elevation, then save and download it for offline use. 3. Start an activity. Choose hike, run, or cycle, select a route, and start GPS tracking. Follow the map guidance and add waypoints or photo notes as you go. 4. Stay safe. Add emergency contacts, enable live tracking to share your location, and turn on weather alerts. Know where to access the SOS screen if needed. 5. Review and organize. Check pace, distance, and elevation after your activity, add notes, export GPX, sync to Strava or Apple Health or Google Fit, and build a gear checklist for your next trip.
